- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 3 sticks of celery, chopped
- 1/2 green pepper, chopped
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1-2 beef bouillon cubes
- 1 1/4 cups rice (uncooked)
- 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. curry powder or chili powder
- Brown the ground beef with the onion, celery, and green pepper.
- In a separate pot, combine the remaining ingredients (water, bouillon cube(s), rice, and all of the spices), bring it to a boil and simmer for 20 minutes until the rice is cooked
- Mix in the meat mixture and serve.
