- 2 Chicken Breasts
- 2 cups of broccoli, cut up
- 1 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 3/4 cup soy sauce (I use reduced sodium soy sauce)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/3 cup diced onion
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 cup water mixed with 3 tablespoons of cornstarch
- Rice
- Combine broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, onion and ginger and mix.
- Put chicken and broccoli in crockpot and pour the mix over the chicken.
- Cook on low for 4 hours, until the chicken is done.
- When the chicken is cooked, start the rice.
- Take the chicken and the broccoli out of the crockpot.
- Add the water and cornstarch mixture to the sauce in the crockpot and let it simmer and thicken.
- Shred the chicken with a fork.
- When the sauce is at your desired thickness, take it out and pour it over the chicken and broccoli.
- Serve over the rice.
