- 1-2 lbs lean stewing beef (1 inch cubes) or ground beef
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 2 large potatoes, diced
- 2 carrots, peeled and sliced
- 2 stalks celery, sliced
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 16 ounce can of diced tomatoes
- 2 cups water
- optional:
- green pepper
- hot sauce
Combine all ingredients in crock, cover and cook on:
1 (low) for 10 hours
Auto shift for 7 hours
2 (high) 5 hours
Stovetop: cook until vegetables are done (1 hour +)
Makes 6-8 servings, freezes well
