  • 1 cup cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 ¼ cups flour (for a gluten free version use Robin Hood gluten free all purpose flour blend)
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1L of oil for deep frying

 

  1. Mix ingredients together.
  2. Add more flour if needed while rolling it out, if the dough is too soft/sticky (it usually needs quite a bit added).
  3. Roll out to 1/8" thick, and fry in oil at least 1 inch deep at 190°C (375°F). For a gluten free version, remember not to reuse oil that has been used to fry any wheat flour products.

 

Serves 6 people (as a meal, with watermelon 🍉)
