- 3 eggs, beaten, at room temperature
- 1/2 cup warm butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp. lemon extract
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup water
Beat these ingredients
- Add 2 cups flour
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. quick rise yeast
Beat 5 minutes
- gradually add 1 1/2 - 2 cups flour (keep it soft)
- Knead on a lightly floured surface until smooth and elastic - 8-10 min.
- Rise until double (up to 3 hours), can place in lightly warmed oven
- divide and place in 3-4 pans (fill pans 1/4 to 1/3 full)
- Rise until double again (up to 1 1/5 hours)
- Bake at 300 for 30-40 min.
- Let it stand 10 min. to ease out of the pan.
