- 1/2 cup butter
- 6 Tbsp. (⅜ cup) sugar
- 6 Tbsp. (⅜ cup) brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- Mix the wet ingredients, the butter, both sugars, the egg and the vanilla. (You can add 2 tsp. mint extract for an extra flavour twist.)
- Mix the dry ingredients and add to the wet ingredients, and then add the chocolate chips.
- Drop onto 2 regular pans (makes 2 dozen cookies).
- Bake at 175°C (350°F) for 8 or 9 minutes. Remember, you can't underbake a cookie! It just leaves it closer to cookie dough, which is delicious!
Optional: bake at 300°F - 325°F for 20 minutes as squares.
