- 1.5 cups browned ground beef (or pieces of leftover roast, etc.)
- 2 or 3 oxo cubes
- 7 cups water
- 1 Tbsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- ½ cup sliced carrots
- ½ cup sliced onion
- ¼ cup sliced celery
- 1 tsp parsley flakes
- ½ tsp sugar
- 796 ml can of diced tomatoes
- 2 cups egg noodles (or broken spaghetti or vermicelli)
- Combine all of the ingredients except the tomatoes and egg noodles and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Add the tomatoes and egg noodles and simmer for another 7 minutes.
Freezes well.
