- 1 cup water
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil, extra virgin
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. sugar, granulated
- 1 3/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
- 2 1/4 tsp. yeast, active dry
- Ensure the collapsible paddle is securely attached and in the upright position before adding ingredients to the bread pan in the order listed. Secure the bread pan inside the baking chamber. Select the DOUGH PIZZA setting. Press the START button.
- Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
- Pinch the dough in half, and press to flatten each half onto a 12" round pizza pan that has been oiled.
- Spread tomato sauce onto the dough and cover with desired toppings.
- Place the pizza pan on the lowest rack and bake until the dough is crisp and brown, approximately 12-15 minutes.
To freeze a crust to use later, bake at 190°C (375°F) for 8 minutes, then cover and freeze. When using it later on, bake it for only 12 minutes.
Makes 2 thin crust pizzas (12”), or 1 larger pizza.
